One of the greatest classic stories by one of the greatest authors, Mark Twain, and published around 1884-1885. This book is the sequel of another great literary works, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. This particular work is known for its vivid description about the sites and the people of the Mississippi River. Huckleberry Finn is, off course, the main protagonist. The reader will follow his adventure and "use" his eye to see and learn about the South. Huck did his adventure with a companion named Jim. Jim is a runaway slave, who befriended and protected Huck Finn on their "voyage" along the Mississippi River on a raft.
Pap, Huck's drunken father, kidnapped Huck to get the boy's $6000, that money was an award from the treasure he found with Tom Sawyer. Finally, Huck was able to run from the deserted house. He found a canoe to run off down the river. Huck felt sick with all the confinement and civilization. Along his runaway, he met Jim, the slave of Miss Watson. After decided to "join forces," both of them spent days in the journey down the river, to find freedom.
