Hellboy Premier Edition comic edition consists of two separate stories, one about Hellboy’s adventure and the other one about B.P.R.D. mission. There are also some sketches of monsters made by Mignola.
In The Penanggalan, Hellboy makes a trip to a village in Malaysia. Without the protection from Bomah shamen, that village has fallen victim to a demonic penanggalan. Guided by a local young girl, Hellboy would’ve never guessed that he’s soon to face a betrayal.
In Born Again, B.P.R.D. agents Elizabeth Sherman, Abe Sapien, Johann Kraus, and Roger are on an investigation that leads to the reanimation of a large ancient creature's remains and spells.
