Bernie Wrightson makes a very magnificent rendition of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein in this comic (or should we call it a graphic novel or an illustration book?). The novel itself is one of the earliest science fictions, a classic horror, and an everlasting masterpiece of Mary Shelley. And this particular work of Wrightson is a masterpiece also. The black and white and rather raw style captures the atmosphere of the story of Frankenstein absolutely well. From each of illustration, we can feel the terror and mystery, with just the right amount of darkness in it.
