Teutonic Magic: The Magical & Spiritual Practices of the Germanic Peoples is a book written by an American writer Stephan Grundy, who is best known under the pseudonym Kveldulf Gundarsson. He is a renowned author for his legendary saga adaptations and his works on Germanic mythology, paganism, and neopaganism.
Teutonic magic itself is a style of magic of particular interest to anyone of Northern European descent. In this particular book, Gundarsson describes the theory and practice of this old mythology and practices. It is absolutely not a tedious academic book. Here Gundarssons puts down things in a flowing piece of writing, the sagas themselves. He is covering subjects such as Norse deities and rituals, explaining runic divination, rune magick, and rituals for carving rune-tines.
From approximately two years of intensive research and “digging” the libraries, Gundarsson successfully presents a book that clearly describes the structure of the spiritual realms in which the Norse magician would walk. That is the reason many anyone who would love or interested in runes or the northern tradition deem Teutonic Magic as the classic text book.
