First published in 2002, The Ultimate Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a collection of comic science fiction series by English writer Douglas Adams. The series is a “trilogy of five books.” It was originally a comedy program broadcasted by BBC Radio in 1978 and in 1979 the first novel adaptation was published. Four prequels written by Adams to the first volume were published in the following years, with the last fifth volume published in 1992. The story has become a classic and it has been adapted in many forms from TV series, comics, to computer series.
