In the fourteenth century, Luo Guanzhong wrote Romance of the Three Kingdoms. It is a massively epic historical-fiction novel that is regarded as one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. Up to this day, the book is still very close to and very influential for the people not only in China but also Japan, Korea and Vietnam.
