My Dead Dad Was in ZZ Top is bold and outrageous book about music history, especially rock ‘n’ roll, written by American actor, comedian and television writer Jon Glaser. First published in 2011, the book presents a number of documents (officially written papers, scribbles on a napkin or notepads, dialogue transcriptions, etc.) that might shed a new light on some of the most famous rock legends.
In this work, Jon Glaser has dug some unheard of and highly reserved histories of some rock and roll's greatest bands or artists. He provides us amusingly enjoyable documentation, which sometimes spectacular, sometimes heartbreaking, and all of the time completely made-up (or are they?).
