Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth PDF eBook (Graphic Novel/ Comic)

Jimmy Corrigan, the Smartest Kid on Earth is a comic series written and illustrated by American cartoonist Franklin Christenson Ware, widely known as Chris Ware. Before being compiled into a graphic novel in 2000, the story was published as serials in New City (an alternative Chicago weekly newspaper) and also in Ware's Acme Novelty Library from 1995 to 2000. The artwork of this comic sometimes evokes early 20th-century American design style. It generally uses vivid color with realistic and thorough details. Jimmy Corrigan has achieved wide critical acclaim and won some prestigious awards, including Eisner Award. The New Yorker cited it as "the first formal masterpiece of (the) medium."

House of M Director's Cut (Comic)

House of M is probably the most epic event in Marvel Comics of the decade, released as 8-issue mini series. Behind these great comics, the two most responsible people are writer Brian Michael Bendis and comic artist Olivier Coipel. Both have done a marvelous works in the storyline and art departments respectively so this series becomes what it is as we know it.

Inside this special edition “House of M Director’s Cut,” readers can see the production process, Bendis’ script before it is executed in text balloons, raw pencil sketches by Coipel for the panels. As additions there are also interview with Brian Bendis, the complete step-by-step process of creating the artwork for the cover, and also Joe Quesada’s design for the variant cover.

House of M is a mini series by Marvel comics, and some issues of almost all famous titles are related as tie-ins, including X-Men, Avengers, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, etc. Each series is drawn by different artist(s) respectively and to name some of them are Olivier Coipel (House of M), Alan Davis and Aaron Lopresti (Uncanny X-Men), Jorge Lucas and Andy Brase (Incredible Hulk), Scot Eaton (Fantastic Four), etc.

It’s such a great thing to be able to see the artworks from one of Marvel’s biggest epic at the most basic forms. The character designs in this sketchbook already look amazing even in raw, pencil sketches. Comic fans will surely love them.

He has helped in developing some of the best modern imagery of some of major DC characters, such as Superman, Batman, and Green Arrow. Adams has also won honorable places in Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame.

Neal Adams 2007 Sketchbook Convention Exclusive is a special and rare book for comic lovers since it contains sketches only. There are basic panels and free illustrations of some famous series from DC and Marvel as well, such as Tarzan, Rise of Magic, Diablo, Batman, and Superman. Some of those works are still in pencil only, where we can see Adams’ sheer brilliance as an artist.

Alex Ross is one the best comic artist of his generation. He takes comic arts to completely another level with his photo-realistic style, which brings superheroes to life. The designs he created perfectly captures the awesomeness of comic fantasy. Either working for DC or Marvel, Ross maintains his own art art style, that in effect, it injects some kind of refreshing vigor into the comic series he works on.

Alex Ross is a total comic artist. He gives thorough attention, love, and passions in his works. Mike Mignola is one of the best comic artists out there and his Hellboy series have become a major success in comics and also movies. As a comic artist, Mignola have a very unique and distinct style in his artworks, though there are some influences of the earlier artist seen in his artworks. Mignola's style is one of a kind, we can say that his works may be won't be referred as pretty, but they are definitely show character, raw and cold and yet beautiful; and that style suites perfectly with the theme and atmosphere of Hellboy.

The Art of Hellboy is a collection of Mike Mignola's published works (covers and panels) and some of his unpublished sketches and illustrations. Though his published works have more portion than his sketches, this book remains a really good collection of comic arts. Readers don't have to go through many issues of Hellboy comics and they can instantly see the bests from Mignola. This book even will prove to be useful for non comic lovers. They who work with or study design or any other field involving creating images and pictures might learn some of the awesome "Mignola style."

Earth X Sketchbook is an absolutely awesome display of artworks, in this case comic arts, that showcases the sketches and character designs done by three great comic artists involved in Marvel's Earth X comic series. Those three artists are Alex Ross, John Paul Leon, and Bill Reinhold. In this sketchbook we can see how magnificent the modelling of some characters of Marvel universe. The details in the character designs have "enhanced" the characteristics of each character.

Though Alex Ross, John Paul Leon, and surely have their own style as comic artists, through the sketches here it appears that they can collaborate their designs and drawings pretty well to suit each other and the theme of the series itself.

Earth X sketchbook was actually compiled and published following the high demand of Alex Ross's article that was originally released in one Wizard magazine issue. In that article, Ross made some sketches of some Marvel characters (Hulk, Captain America, and Spider-Man) based on his projection of those characters existence in the future, when every human is superhuman.
