First published in 2000, The Truth became the twenty-fifth novel of Discworld, a fantasy series by Terry Pratchett. Just like in most his books, Pratchett takes in real world subjects and parodies or spins them off in a manner that suits his fantasy reality. In this particular book, that subject is newspaper business, the newly born business in Discworld biggest city, Ankh-Morpork.
