George R.R. Martin started his epic fantasy of A Song of Ice and Fire with the first novel entitled A Game of Thrones. This will be the first book of the supposedly 7-volume series. First published in 1996, the book got great responses and had won couple of awards in the following years. A television series adaptation had also been made and broadcasted by HBO, since 2011.
