Fanny Hill (Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure) is a work of John Cleland and being published in 1748 in England, it became the first prose pornography in the form of a novel. It then became one of the most prosecuted and banned books in history (according to wikipedia.com), and the author was sentenced to jail for obscenity.
