Jingo is a novel written by English author Terry Pratchett as the the 21st volume in his long-running and exciting fantasy series, Discworld. The book was originally published in 1997. The City Watch of Ankh-Morpork once again is in the spotlight of the story when an island—it had been submerged for years—suddenly and mysteriously rises above the sea. The dispute on the sovereignty of the newly appeared island is inspired by the real conflict that involved United Kingdom, France, and Italy over the island Ferdinandea (or Julia as the French named it).
