In 1991, Nirvana released an album that became the milestone of their career and music history. Nevermind brought the band skyrocket into major charts and commercial success; it even knocked Michael Jackson out of the top spot. The loud-quiet-loud pattern in their music was widely appreciated and accepted, though their musical style actually was an imitation of the Pixies, as said by the band front-man Kurt Cobain.
Here Nirvana was already in that legendary trio formation with Krist Novoselic on bass and Dave Grohl on drums. Produced by Butch Vig (record producer and drummer of Garbage), Nevermind turned into a music album that changed the landscape of music industry and brought Grunge and Seattle sound into the mainstream. All songs are written by Kurt Cobain, some by himself and some in collaboration with Novoselic and Grohl or other artist.
