Originally published in German in 1973—the English translation was released a year after, Momo is one of the best novels written by Michael Ende. Winner of the 1974 Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis (German Youth Literature Prize), this fantasy book is excellently suitable for young adult readers (children) but the substance, the moral and message regarding the essence of time are indisputably relevant to more mature readers, especially nowadays.
