Clockwork Angel is a young-adult fantasy novel written by American author Cassandra Clare. First published in 2010, the book is the debut of Clare’s popular trilogy The Infernal Devices. It achieved commercial success and became a New York Times best-seller. This novel with steampunk-science fiction atmosphere also reintroduces classic Victorian literature by its many quotes that refers to the works of classic writers such as Charles Dickens, Oscar Wilde, Alfred Tennyson, and Samuel Taylor Coleridge.
