As coming-of-age novel, Great Expectations is considered by many as Charles Dickens’ best work and it presents his peak and maturity in writing. First published as serial in 1960-1961and as three-volume novel in 1861, the book has reached many generations of readers, especially among young adults, through all the years. Despite the mix of praises and criticisms it received, it is undeniably one of the most influential novels from Victorian Literature genre.
