English writer Ruth Rendell (Barbara Vine) continued her Inspector Wexford series with the second novel The Sins of the Fathers (U.S. version title). It was originally published in 1967 in U.K. with the title A New Lease of Death. This book once again proved Rendell’s excellence as an author, where she presented insightful views of human mind with solid plots and well-built characters.
