The second series was initially released as serials in CLiNT magazine and then was published in 7 issues by Marvel Comics under their Icon imprint between October 2010 and March 2012. Despite the delays between issues, the series achieved commercial success nonetheless. Just like its prequel, it has also made its way to the big screen.
In its second volume, Kick-Ass comic series once again brings a bloodily exciting and hilarious story. It focuses on teenage vigilantes Dave Lizewski a.k.a. Kick-Ass, who continues his training and crime fighting in the streets of New York City, and Mindy McCready a.k.a. Hit-Girl, who is forced to “lay low” and quit any superhero-related activities after living with her mother and her new step father detective Marcus Williams. Kick-Ass’s new adventure leads him to the “Justice Forever," a group of superhero lead by ex-mafia Sal Bertolinni a.k.a. Colonel Stars.
